3D Robot & Sensors: import parts, 3 rotation axes and 3D sensors
Build 3D robots from ready-made models or 3D files (.glb, .obj, .stl), rotate each part on 3 axes (X, Y, Z) by ID and turn any part into a 3D sensor.
1. Open the 3D Robot Editor
- Add the 3D Robot & Sensors extension (and 3D World) and click Open the 3D Robot Editor.
- Start from one of the 6 ready-made 3D robot models with sensors: 6x6 Mars Rover, 6-Axis Industrial Robotic Arm, Biped Humanoid Robot, Rescue Tank, Explorer Quadcopter Drone or Hexapod Spider.
2. Import 3D parts and models (.glb, .gltf, .obj, .stl)
- Click Import 3D file (.glb, .gltf, .obj, .stl). Each part automatically receives its unique ID and all 3 rotation axes (X, Y, Z) ready to edit and program in blocks.
3. Left-click to select parts, mark as Sensor and edit the 3 rotation axes
- Left-click any part in the 3D viewport to select it, edit its ID, set its parent part (kinematic hierarchy), check "This part is a 3D Sensor" (Ultrasonic, Laser/LiDAR, Color, Touch, Temperature or Gyroscope) and adjust its X, Y, Z rotation axes and pivot point.
